Putting together this DIY padded headboard maybe took 30 minutes. It's so easy since it's such a simple headboard. I did want to put tufts in, but then I just wanted to get it done! But you could always put in tufts, buttons or hardware around the edges. I took the headboard off and laid it on the floor.

Wrap the headboard with batting and staple in the back with 3/8" staples (Image 1). Trim away the excess with scissors. With the board on a flat surface, attach fabric along the long edge at the bottom (Image 2). Wrap it around the bottom and around the side that is facing down.
